Implant Restoration
An implant is the replacement of the natural tooth root with a titanium cylinder which heals within the existing bone. It is strong and can serve as the base for many different types of restorations.
Patients with missing teeth can have one or more teeth built upon the implant(s) with crowns or fixed bridges. Those patients without any teeth can have attachments added to the implant in order to secure a denture or partial denture which is very cosmetic as well.
In some special cases, severe trauma cases can be restored using an implant attached prosthesis which replaces missing facial features.
Dental implants have opened an entirely new and wide variety of treatment options never before possible.
Dr. Moon insists upon the very best results for implant placement and therefore requires that competent well trained and experienced specialists place the implants. He refers to and works closely with qualified oral surgeons for this procedure.
